John Armstead is Protected Investors of America’s Chief Financial Officer, equity and bond trading specialist, and former Chairman of the Board of Directors. He is also an Investment Portfolio Manager and his clients include: individuals, foundations, businesses and municipalities and retirement plans. John‘s licenses include: General Securities Representative (7), Uniform Securities Agent State Law Examination (63), Uniform Investment Adviser Law Examination (65), General Securities Principal (24), Registered Options Principal (4), Financial and Operations Principal (28). He is a member of the Chartered Financial Analyst Institute and the CFA Society of San Francisco. In 2005 John received the Churchill C. Peters Award for “Excellence in Financial Services”. Prior to his affiliation with PIA, John was a Registered Representative at Kirkpatrick Pettis Smith Polian, Inc., in Lincoln, Nebraska and has been an investment manager since 1982.
John was born in North Platte, Nebraska and raised in Lincoln, Nebraska.
John lives in Petaluma and is married to Angela. They have two children, Heather and Jeffrey and three grand children, Kimberly, Trenton and Nicholas. His other interests are staying fit and enjoying life in wine country.
